This is a crisp, well-hopped ale with a good balance of sweetness and robust bitterness. It is brewed using pale malt with Challenger and Goldings hops.

500ml plastic bottle from Rhythm and Booze, Sharrowvale (only 89p) - Nowt wrong with this at all. Amber body, thin frothy head. Looks inviting enough. Nose is very nondescript, bit of caramel, bit of malt. Taste is sweet and fresh, but lacking in any real character. Medium body, I’ve paid much more for much worse... and an iconic brand. Wonder how it compares to the original?
