Our beloved Yeti is going back to its roots with this Himalayan-inspired variation. Traditional Chai spices of cinnamon, green cardamom, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla blend seamlessly with Yeti’s rich, roasted malt backbone for a spicy beast fit to tackle Everest.

Bottle from Noble Hops, shared in BOD. It pours opaque jet black with a medium dark tan head. The aroma is sweet, rich roasted malt, oily, chai spice, cinnamon, toasted nutmeg, chocolate cake, warming, xmas cake and rocky road. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, rather spicy gear, festive vibes, cinnamon, nutmeg, wood, chai latte, angostura bitters, rocky road, treacle and liquorice with a roasted and warming spice finish.. Full body and moderate carbonation. Hard to do a spiced beer well, but this works well.

(650ml 2017 bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a big foamy pale brown head that leaves heavy lace. Aroma of roasted malt, raw sugar, light molasses, milk chocolate, mix of chai spices still present but nutmeg and cardamom are the most persistent, some vanilla and sweet cream. Flavour is sweetish up front, raw sugar, chocolate wafer, toasted grain, vanilla, some coffee, before more spices kick in. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom flavours plus some spiciness that's got some ginger and pepper hints, likely somewhat faded from the original state. Finishes dry with a powdery roast that's less aggressive than the base and more ginger-pepper tingling. Medium bodied, with rather soft carbonation. Quite nice if you like chai; I am sure drinking it a year ago would've made for more fragrant adjuncts but all told it was still plenty spiced.

Sep 18 2018, dunno if I get much chai, mostly dry stout, slight hints of possible spices on the back.

Draught @ Great Divide Taproom, Denver, CO. Spicy, roasty and hoppy with some cinnamon, peppers, nutmeg, christmassy notes and sticky syrup. Quite heavy compared to the regular version.

Bottle aged >1 year to tulip. Pours black with massive dark brown head. All the spices marry nicely in this beer. More subtle than some of the sister beers, but very tasty.

Really nice stuff. Aromas are dark malt roast cocoa spices hint of coffee. Flavors are on the sweet side but not overly so. Excellent carbonation fairly balanced super drinkable.
