Winter Porter Brewed with Coffee and Cinnamon, Aged On Vanilla Beans
Twilight of the Idols is our winter porter brewed each autumn with a touch of coffee, and aged on a blend of vanilla beans. This tradition—conceived with a friend in 2009 while brewing in Denmark—continues still as we present this 10th release of this beer. The name is inspired by the title of the last text written by Friedrich Nietzsche, one of our philosophical idols and a guiding voice throughout our journey.

500ml bottle.
Black pour, small brown head. Aroma of rich, dark, roasted coffee, roasted malts, soy, and some wood, with what i can only describe as hot pepper aroma, minus the heat, must be the cinnamon. Very soft carb, mouth feel is a little thinner that expected. The finish is woody, and herbal. Coffee and roasted malts linger and are very pleasant, bitterness is medium to low. A nice porter, but im thinking this might have fallen into the hill farmstead hype machine.

Fairly thin, a bit sweet, roasty coffee and vanilla, some chocolate. Quite rich flavor for being a porter, really smooth, nice.

16oz can at home.Canned 11/08/2022. almost black hazy color, small coffee colored head. Smells parfumy, vanilla, spices, cinnamon, coffee beans, flowery. surprisingly fruity smell, I guess from the coffee beans. full body, soft carbonation. Tastes coffee, vanilla, nutty, some spices, cinnamon, bit leathery, subtle sweetness, tad artificial. Finishes light sweet with notes of spices, nuts and vanilla notes. very good one, great balance, adjuncts are noticeable but in check.

Definitely getting cinnamon, red hot candy style on the nose, coffee and some vanilla, although thankfully not dominant

From Chris D: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, with hints of cinnamon and a tiny dose of vanilla. Hefty coffee notes.
