330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Bubbly, covering fawn-coloured head over a coal black body. Spotty lacing on the glassware. Nicely roasted aroma of earthy malts. Well blended malt-driven flavour profile of earth, bread, black chocolate and ash, hints of herbal hops to a roasted ending. Fine depth. Well made porter, enjoyed on a Saturday eve. (Tromsø 23.03.2019).

Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler veldig sakte. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken O´Boy. Tørr avslutning. God!

Bottle. Can’t recall where from. Dark, cola brown. Film of sticky, tan head. Nose has coffee truffle. Milky coffee. Toffee malt. Some vine fruit. Some fudge. A little earthy, too. Taste is light sweet, and fairly vinous. Touch of coffee bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Low carbonation. A little drying. Coffee truffle to finish. Lovely porter.

Bottle at home in Croydonia. It pours opaque black with a small bubbly tan head. The aroma is rich, oily, big unami character, savoury, liquorice, milk chocolate, bourbon biscuits, touch of soy sauce and some pepper. The taste is dry, some bitterness, rich roasted malt, charred wood, oily, umami, liquorice, burnt treacle, soy sauce, marmite, coco pops, peppery spice and earth with a drying finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Maybe a bit too savoury if anything and has this strong umami / spy character. Not as good as their saisons imo.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey. Pours deep brown with a dense, creamy tan head. Great roasted malt aroma, some brownies, chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with further rich, rounded chocolate character, more brownies, some ashy roast, leather. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Well balanced finish, with further rich chocolate character, moderate bitter roast, earth, toasted marshmallows, some coffee, cocoa. Excellent. So drinkable, so well rounded.
