Using a blend of Anejo and Reposado barrels and aged for a minimum of ten months, Agave Maria has hints of black pepper, sweet sugar, oatmeal, and oak with an earthy, bitter smoked chocolate on the finish. The base beer, a new Agave strong ale, was created specifically to pair with the spiciness of the Tequila, adding a sweet honey-like quality to the beer.

Bottled. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is tequila, some fruity, mild citrusy, plummy and syrupy tones. Flavour is kind of sourish/tart fruits and berries with some alcohol, citrus, dates, plum and mild spiciness. One strange brew, but in an intriguing way.

Dark amber with off white head - Malt and wood barrel aroma - Malt body with some fruity flavours with wood barrel and some hints of vinegar in the back - The sour flavour goes into the finish - This was good, but didnt quite like the vinegar here

0.375l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Hazy brown body with a quickly disappearing yolk head. Aroma of caramel with huge wood notes, lots of agave and lychees. Taste of lemon juice, wood, caramel, agave, vinegar and some nutmeg. Interesting beer. I like it.

Dull brown. No head. No carbonation. Quite a bit of wood, some raisiny aged malt notes, alcohol and a bit of tequila as well. Comes across as pretty harsh on the palate. Big wood tannins, a fair bit of tartness, alcohol in the finish. I'm not sure if the level of sourness is intentional, but it's not really working out super well - more malt sugars would carry the barrel a bit better. The wood and tannins are intense, a bit out of balance, I would say. Not sold on this one. Has an old ale sort of character but overlaid with just a really heavy barrel.
