This brew is a hazy apricot-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky yeast, plum and malt. Medium body with flavors of brett yeast, plums, tart berries and doughy malt. A hint of citrusy hops too. The finish is funky and fruity with a sweet-tart plum and yeast aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy amber color, small but persistent frothy head. Pungent fruity aroma, deep, plenty of Brett. Dry, Bretty and fruity, juicy, fresh, lightly astringent in the finish.
Excellent.

Bottle from Maekchu. Dry, grassy, funky nose. Cloudy gold-orange with a low, lacy head. Tart plum flavor, stone fruits, a bit of sweet malt left in their after the brett. Smooth, balanced, excellent.

Location: Bottle from Good Beer, 3/8/16
Aroma: It has mostly vinous notes and tart berries on the aroma, with some funk too
Appearance: Pours a pinkish-orange color with a small beige head and some light lacing
Flavor: The flavor is a bit more complex with sweet berry components and some oak up-front, more of a tart berry / vinous middle flavor, and a somewhat funky / slightly dry close
Palate: Fairly clean, average-to-lively carbonation, finishes with a funk / tart dryness
Overall Impression: I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Really tasty beer. The flavor was fairly complex and the whole combination worked nicely. No complaints from me.

The beer is dark fleshy pink-ish color, like the meat of some plums. It’s quite hazy - I can just see through the glass. The head is white, small to medium in size and fairly fizzy. Bubbles dissipate after a minute or so. Light lacing. The aroma packs a lot of fruit character. Fairly juicy. The mix of plum and hop flavors is bright and fresh. Big candied lemon-tangerine note backs up the stone fruit. Mild funk. None of the buttery flavor that I dislike from Almanac. Some mostly lactic-y sourness. The taste is fruity throughout. That same mix of hops and plums shines in the taste as well. Lots of sweet and sour plum flavor, citrus/floral hoppiness, milder fruity brett notes. Moderate to medium pucker. Firm but never overwhelming acidity. Body is medium to light with a light pucker in the finish. Mild hop bitterness. This is easily the best of three recent Almanac beers that I just tried - Peach de Brettaville and Wakatu Sour were the others.
