Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a kind of opaque mahogany colored body that has copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up spicy oak blended with a touch of molasses and a faint hoppiness that seems a bit pine like. The taste delivers loads of spicy kind of woodsy oaky notes that are integrated well with smooth malts and sort of a quick dash of molasses. It then gets into hoppy notes of pine, tart pineapple and an almost lime like sensation. This is a pretty nice sipper.

Keg at the brewpub, 04/02/16. Amber with reddish hues topped with a beige swirl. Nose is caramel malt, candied fruit peel, toasted brown sugar, light hop strokes, faint pine. Taste comprises caramel, biscuit, brown sugar, hint of tropicana. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok ... doesnβt deliver a whole lot of depth and a little sweet.
