Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, pineapple and citrus. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, pineapple, citrus, orange finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft

Bakgården Både & 25/2 17. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is fruit, dried fruits, cocoa. Flavor is fruit, dried fruits, cocoa, roasted malt, hop, coffee, grass, yeast. Pleasent nice beer.

On tap at Både&. A dense light tan head leaves curtains over a black body. Quite fruity aroma, dark dried fruits that is... Roasted malts, some coffee, a touch of toast and a light grassy and yeast touch. It’s smooth and full bodied, nicely carbonated and with a fine bitterness that seems to be both happy and roasted malty. Prunes, some bonfire and grass, as well as some coffee in the flavor, lasting for a long time. Would like some more hop aroma and flavor in this one, but it’s a tasteful and pleasant beer anyway. 170216

Near black brown beer, bubbly white head. Earthy malt, fruit smell. Piney resin in there. Flavour has bitter, earthy malt. Some dark chocolate, a dash of citrus. Complex.

Not very true to style. Quite hop dominated. Worked really fine. Nice tasty brew.
Opaque black color with a fine tan head. Good lacing. Nice intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a smooth carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, roasted, citric and pine in the flavor. A kind of black ipa.

650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a huge, frothy, long lasting, tan head that leaves plenty of lace. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, pine and citrus with a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. A well balanced, hoppy schwarzbier, very nice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark opaque pour with a bubbly light tan head, aroma has some dark fruits and some bready malts, taste has a hint of pine, dark fruits, roast malts, and chocolate.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a crisp, three centimetre tall tan head that shows some nice lace on the sides. Aroma of fresh hops, nice roasted malt, a touch of grain and some bitter coffee flavours. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and citrus hops show well with a lot of roasted malts and some oatmeal and other grains noticeable. Aftertaste is relatively single-tracked with the hops and the roasted malt front and centre with only a little sweetness, some other grains and no real complexity. Overall, a decent beer with some good hoppiness and a decent set of malts, but not much more than that -pretty disappointing compared to other Gigantic beers. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Downtown Spirits in Seattle, Washington [State] for US$5,99 on 18-February-2016 sampled in my hotel room in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 21-May-2016.
