Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Summer berry and tropical fruit aromas. Dry with sweet strawberry upfront turning to mango and pineapple before the dry, lasting bitter earth finish.

Pour @ RateBeer Best Festival. They actually poured lemon or coconut slushee on top of the IPA when serving this. Kind of hazy orange appearance with a cream colored head before the slushee was added on top. The aroma is dulled by the slushee but the slushee smelled like a bland coconut or lemon, somewhat neutral flavor. Surprisingly, the hops and the fruitiness of the beer comes out in the flavor with the slushee present. A little bit of pine to go along with some citrus fruits. Again, surprisingly, even with the slushee addition, this wasn’t as sweet as many of the gimmicky impy stouts at the fest. Kind of fun.

Draught at RateBeer Best festival. Hazy orange liquid with huge soft serve head. Aroma of lemon, citrus, peach, light lactose, grapefruit and light grain. Taste is very light sweet and light bitter with notes of citrus, light lactose, tangerine and light grain. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice, the best of the Milkshake IPAs so far.

22 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Murky yellow with a finger of off-white head. Aromas of floral, a little vanilla, citrus, vitamin, PEZ candy. Tastes of light strawberry, grapefruit citrus, a little Flintstones vitamin, floral notes, some vanilla beans. Medium body with a dry finish. Interesting combination, works fairly well.
