Fra keg på Beerd Bristol 30 Apr 17. Mørk gylden. Lavt skum med litt farge. Aprikosaroma. Smaken lett fruktig. Plommer. Tørr alkoholisk ettersmak. Lett bitter avslutning.

Keg, half-pint shared with Finn at Beerd Bristol. A pearl white head with good lacing resting over a near-clear warm golden body. Citrus peels on the nose. Rich taste of lemon, pine and apricot followed by leafy hop bitterness to the ending. Fine depth. Likable. (30.04.2017).

Draught. Hazy orange liquid with small white head. Aroma of tangerine, citrus, bread, light plastic, floral hops, green apples, perfume and lemons. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes tangerine, grapefruit, grain and lemon peel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice but there’s some acetaldehyd.

On tap at The Beer Market, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Nose brings out piney and resinous hops, and caramel biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney and resinous hops upfront, with a touch of fruitiness. Really well-balanced and quite pungent in the hop department, without any real astringency. Excellent.

On tap at The Grapes, Oxford, Tuesday 10th March 2015 Superb beer from Beerd, a real step up from this brewery. Great bittersweet balance, with a lingering bitter finish, citrus with a real pithy element, initially sweet but then that finish is really long and drying. Dark gold in colour excellent clarity, sticky white head. I sort of feel sorry for the beer that I will have after this as it will invariably be hugely overshadowed by this beast. This really is a top notch beer from Beerd. A7 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.1
