Bottle thanks to Jen. Pours a very dark brown with no head. The aroma is strong roast, chocolate, light smoke. Slick mouthfeel with nice sweet roast, dark chocolate, wood, nice sweetness, hides alcohol well, very nice.

Draught at the brewery with RBSG. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, oak, bourbon, deep chili, pumpernickel and some licorice. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of bourbon, chocolate and light chili. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Nice stuff.

Bottle at the brewery. Lots fo vanilla, brandy, and chocolate in the nose. Very nice peppers coming in on the finish, though not huge, which is better for me. Very well balanced and smooth. Great stuff.

Tap. Pours with a black body and a large, long lasting tan head. Aromas are ashy and roasty, caramel and vanilla. Flavors are hoppy, roasty, ash and some crayon. Light chocolate. Dry and a bit ashy. The bourbon wasn’t very apparent.
