Bright citrusy unfiltered lager, this brew was borne of the brewers’ many trips to Germany. Alpine Spring features a unique blend of lager attributes: the balanced maltiness and hoppiness of a Helles, the smoothness and slightly higher alcohol of a traditional spring bock, and the unfiltered appearance of a Kellerbier. The beer is brewed with Noble Tettnang hops to add a unique, bright orange-citrusy aroma and flavor.

(Daught at Punavuoren Ahven, 20120606) The beer poured yellow and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had citricness, grain and malts. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness. The mild aftertaste was grainy and bitter. An easy to drink and even easier to forget beer.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with bread, orange, peaches and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of bread, citrus, apricots and fresh floral/citric hops in a finish with a balanced bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Almost clear, orange liquid with medium white head. Aroma of citrus, fresh/noble hops, cereal malt and typical lager yeast notes. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of fresh hops and biscuity malt. Crisp and refreshing. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Quite nice and really drinkable

Bottle: Drank from the bottle so no pour info. Aroma was light citrus and hops. Taste was sweet up front with nice citrus fruit and hops finish to keep it lively. Refreshing brew after a long week at work.

Seems to be called "Spring Lager" for the Canadian and Swedish markets. Picked-up a 6-pack of this at the LCBO. An unfiltered lager... pretty nice ! Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a big frothy white head that has good retention and decent lacing all-around. The hop really comes out in the nose for a lager, with hints of honey and grain. The taste is mild with malt and the citrus just adds a refreshing twist on this very interesting lager (which will not appeal to most typical lager drinkers).

bottle - Pours clear amber with a small off white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malt. It tastes very sweet with caramel, a touch of vanilla, and a hint of oak. It’s medium bodied with slight bitterness in the finish but the malt sweetness dominates. It’s okay.

650ml bottle. Hazy golden hue with a massive, foamy white head. Low clarity. Aromas are floral, soft and bready with medium noble hop character. Medium malt. Slight sharpness that is hard to track. Clean yeast wise with a bit of a biscuity malt character. Flavors are medium bitter with a toasted malt sweetness. Slightly fuller body than I was expecting. Dry finish. Medium floral hop character. Crisp finish. Mild alcohol presence. Lively bubbles, medium bodied. I’ll take a Noble Pils instead next time.
