50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB 2011-12-30. Sampled on Aoril 16, 2011Clear dark red color, smallish light brown head. Salty, roasted, sweet, licorice, milk scent. A berry hoppiness is in the back as well. Thick, salty, bitter, toungue rolling, grainy, harsh taste. Tastewise this was not for me. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness. That high dry bitterness mixed with the salty minerals and the roasted character makes for a strange mix. Warming alcohol as well.

Bottle from SB cons 2011-04-14 Göteborg AR: american hops, citric, pine, apricot - a bit dry and dusty - same after being poured perhaps a bit obvious AP: dark brow with a reddish tone - woddy, perhaps hazy. Foam is caramel in color and medium thickness. Relation to a stout? F: Heavy bitterness, dryness, some carmel swetness and burned sugar. Wee citric, some smoke - low drinkability!

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Coffee, roasted malt, cocoa and soapy hops in the aroma. Roasted and chocolatey taste with plain chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a chocolatey and bitter finish The bitterness lingers, but not in an overwhelming or excessive way. A good interpretation of the style and worth buying a few bottles of.
