Following the Blond and Brown Bink, the brewery launched a third type of beer: the Blossom Bink, on the occasion of the 50th consacration of the blossoms in 2000! We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer). The ingredients are: five types of malts, one type of Belgian hops, brewing water, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and pear syrup from Vrolingen. It has a fruity taste with a slightly sweet tone and a long fruity and soft bittery aftertaste.

Bottle Deep brown - reddish, murky body. Lightly brown head, fully diminishing. Fair lace. Malts (toffee, caramel), hints of alcohol in the nose. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Very odd flavour. My taste buds did need some adaption. Not too bad, after all.

Cloudy light brown color, short lasting head. Aroma is sweet, fresh sour fruity, pear and a bit honey, some caramel malts. Fruity sirupy taste, again the pear and some honey sweetness, but not much. Aftertaste is again pear. The pear is not abundant in aroma/taste/palate, but nicely balanced.

Very hazy dark brown, reddish shine; irregular yellow-brown head, slim but stable. Dark malts, dark candi sugar, flowery and more specific almonds. Surprising first impression of quite bitter (roasted malt bitter), then malt sweetness. Bitterness remains however, getting notes of black chocolate and of hops, eventually. (Strange, I seem to recall this beer as much sweeter, maybe I drank it warmer) I get the honey retronasal, though subdued - not the pears. Finish is ever so slightly sourish, in a fruity way. No more almondy flavours. Well-bodied. The finish/aftertaste make it surprisingly refreshing. Though well-bodied, you'ld never guess the 7.1 % ABV. I like it. "Belgian ale" is a nice way of avoiding classifying. That out-of-class touch is a mark of quality. (IMO it is a fruity version of abbey dubbel, nà )
