30/11/2024. Bottle shared at Ulfborg tasting. Pours clear pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is lemony, sherbet, tequila, touch of coconut. Quite sweet. Not bad, and better than the vodka one.

Clear light golden and subdued amber coloured body with a thinnish, pale white head that fades relatively quickly after starting out at under a centimetre tall in height. Aroma of citrus, grass, lemongrass, light herbs, a dose of funk, and of course, dare I say it, tequilla. Light-bodied; Sharp lemon and grassy citrus flavours dominate with some lemongrass and wheat notes right behind that are very simple and easy-going showing some tequilla and extra infusion of alcohol, but still relatively simple and non-astringent. Aftertaste is soft, all based around the sugars with some pears and apple notes coming around the grass and lemons, but this too is very easy-to-drink and soft throughout. Overall, not as bad as a 'beer' as I was expecting, and even though I saw this on my previous trip to French Polynesia and stayed away, that isn't necessary, as this really isn't so bad of a beer and is decent if not, nice in the sun of the South Pacific Winter. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased a few minutes ago from Champion [supermarche] in [downtown] Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia on 01-August-2019 for XPF290 sampled a few minutes later at my hotel here in Papeete.
