MARA’AMU

Mara’amu is a Belgian white beer with a cloudy gold color from the use of wheat in the brewing process. With fruity and spicy fragrances, we find the usual aromas of coriander and sweet orange. It tastes soft, smooth, and refreshing. Sour notes highlight the softness and offer a delicate and balanced bitterness to the beer.

Our artisanal beers are available in limited edition 33cl bottles.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head, that starts off at about a centimetre tall in heigh that fades to just about nothing a few seconds later. Aroma of wheat, coriander seed, light yeast, bananas, bubble gum, some light guava and a dose of white pepper. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Very fresh wheat and yeast notes that show some soft sugars with a tiny bit of honey noticeable, but more of the hay and wheatie notes showing some softer coriander seed and pure yeast notes that make this very easy-drinking and still flavourful. Aftertaste shows the yeast with a little bit of unfinished sugars, some coriander seed and a touch of grasses noticeable at the end, very easy-drinking and simple with a dose of complexity from the spices and yeast notes. Overall, a nice and relatively rich beer, considering the style, while still being easy-drinking, even in the Winter of the South Pacific. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased yesterday from Champion [supermarche] in [downtown] Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia on 31-July-2019 for XPF330 sampled a day later at my hotel here in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia.
