Draft at the Portland brewery. Dark golden and clear, full bodied almost syrupy. Cognac and wood aroma, sweet caramel taste. Wow.

Bottle form the dregs run, cheers Craig. Pours dark golden with a thin white head. Aromas of wood, booze, leather, dark sugar. Taste is boozy, more oak and vanilla. Sticky finish.

Bottle from Jeremy. Really smooth, sharp ABV notes in the aroma. Malty sweet and boozy. Perfect all the way around.

(On tap @ Omnipollos Hatt, Stockholm, Oct 8/17) Pours a slightly hazy brownish-gold/amber with a tiny white ring of head. Nose is loaded with oak and vanilla, sweetish light caramel, dried pale pit fruit and golden raisins, slightly grainy malt, resinous hops with a bit of citrus, leather. Flavour is big and aggressive, big punch of pale caramel, dried pale fruit, vanilla and oak again, bitter tannic wood and resinous hops, a bit citric, solidly alcoholic, initial sweetness is dried down a lot with the booze and high bitterness, dry oak. Aftertaste is heavily bitter and dry. Medium-full bodied, low carbonation. Bold compared to the base Fred, some of the fruit nuances are buried under substantial oak though.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2017. Clear, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, honey, sultanas and oak. Very sweet, malty and a little fruity taste of caramel, honey, sultanas, oak and vanilla, followed by a long, moderately bitter, noticeably boozy and slightly woody finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Woody indeed. Quite a bit dryer than the regular. Boozy and thick. Not bad at all.
