Bottle thanks to Nihtila. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate and roast. Taste - lovely rich chocolate, savoury liquorice. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - lovely.

Bottle at home, 18/09/16. Thanks to Micael, EU Local Swap. Hazy coffee aroma. Deep black. Dark beige head lasts a while before retreating. Bitter, grows in strength through the finish/bitter end. Medium bodied. Oily. The finish leaves a warmth in the throat. Vague hint of cream/nuts to start with, before the espresso kicks in. The 9% ABV is obvious.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co. Islington - London. Many thanks to Timo for this dark sauce. Pours oily black with a foamy, mocha head. Moderately ashy in the nose, with ample roasted malts, scorched earth. Medium sweet flavour with lots of bitter dark chocolate, burnt but oily pine. Medium to full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with notes of gooey dark chocolate. Solid.

Bottle shared at the CBC big bottle share. 7/7/2016. An opaque black coloured pour with a a lasting thin dark tan head. Aroma is earthy grainy, earthy toasted coconut, grains, plum, dried fruits, . Flavour is composed of toasted coconut, marshmallow, choc, pecan. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, milky. Good stuff.

Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Sofia. It pours black with a small, sturdy tan head. The aroma is rich, roasted malts, coffee, umami, dark chocolate and a touch of creaminess. The taste is crisp, bitter, charred wood, rich roasted malts, earthy, rocky road, big coffee hit, wood, dull smoke, mild acidity and some alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Good coffee character to it. Decent Imperial stout.

Bottle. Almost black color, dark brown foam. Aroma: burnt and roasted malt, a little coffee, a little hop, dried fruits, burnt pie crust. Taste: roasted, brandy, hop bitterness, bitter chocolate and coffee, a little malt-caramel sweets and prunes, warming.
