330ml bottle at School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is citrus fruits and light toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet with a crisp sweet caramel malt, light herbal, earthy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Draft at Spring Keyaki 2015. Under the name Golden Bitter (maybe a name change). Deep golden color with a small white head. Orange, grapefruit and grassy hop nose with some malt noticeable as well. Taste is more of the same with nice bitterness. Bitter finish. Not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of Golden Ale on 03 Feb 2016 at 14:48

On tap at the Iwate-ken event near Umeda Station. It pours a nice deep gold color. Kind of dark for a golden ale & has a citrusy hop aroma. It has nice fruity flavors with just a hint of citrusy hops & candy sweetness. Quite tasty, a decent golden ale that ticks the right boxes. A bit hoppier than most golden ales but good.

Draught at the Ichinoseki Craft Beer Festival 2011. Dark, deep golden color. Aroma of honey, pilsner malts, bread, some citrus and grass hops. Decent hop flavor to balance the honey and bread from the malt. Neither are all that distinctive, however. Nice enough but could use more punch.
