Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of honey, malt, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet with notes of spices, malt, caramel, and honey, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Cloudy brown color, with low carbonation and minimal head. The aroma is sweet and a bit fruity, nice; light alcohol too. The body has an average strength; the flavor is more beery that else; caramel flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, and a herbal and vegetable touch; no apparent honey. Correct bitterness, for a beer. I can’t see the purpose.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a clear dark amber with an off-white head. The nose is roasted with burned dark caramel and a little yeast. Pretty solid body, roast, nuts and dark fruits with only a vague underlying honey note. Very beery and pleasant. 080411

Pours hazy dark coppery brown. Very small head. Somehow elegant though.Nose shows lots of honey with hints of gum tree blossom and some underlying soft alcohol and grainy malt. Definitely centred towards the honey rather than the malt.Very bold boozy flavours, still quite a lot of sweet honey mixing with cinnamon before the alcohol and mild hops bitterness roll though, blasting everything else. Definitely one fore sipping.Mouthfeel is light but velvety smooth (thanks to the alcohol?). Very low carbonation.I think I’d like more malt, it seems to drop short after the initial burst of honey.

Bottle. Dark red - just a little darker than stringybark honey. No head to speak of, although there is some carbonation. Aroma of caramel, honey and spices - nutmeg, cloves, cardamon. Some cheesy yeast too - suggestive of St Bernadus 8. Quite boozy. Slightly syrupy texture. Taste has some stewed fruits as well as honey and some spicy bitterness along with the honey and alcohol at the finish. Not terribly complex and the alcohol is a bit prominent, but this is a pretty stylish drop.
