Pours dark brown with light tan head. Roasted malt aroma, slightly musty. Roasted malt and dark chocolate flavors with some hops and dankness. Medium body with average carbonation.

Draft. Nitro. Black beer with a tan nitro head. Light chocolate and caramel aroma. Caramel and chocolate flavor with light spicy hops. Medium-light bodied. Chocolate and light spicy hops lingers. Seems hoppier and lighter.

Pours mahogany into an English pint. Creamy mocha head with good retention pancakes as it recedes. Roasted malt aromas. Dry and crisp with very little complexity or flavor...disappointed.

Draught. Had this at Ballydoyle on our 11th wedding anniversary. Not sure if this is what they should be hanging such a big commemoration on. Appears the same as a regular Guinness, but the head is clearly not from a nitro pour. Aromas are basically clean, and keep to themselves; no big bold roasted malts. Taste is a bit sweeter in malts than a regular Guinness, and is missing that "Guinness essence" sourness. Lighter roast all around. I guess this is some attempt to get people to cross over the threshold, but to me this would be like if Coca-Cola had celebrated its 100th anniversary by releasing "New Coke."

Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown with small frothy light tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is raisin malt, licorice, and smoke. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet roasted malt and choclate. A lot more sweeter than the original. A good dry stout from Guinness.

2nd rating. Bottle. Pours with a largish, off-white head over a very dark brown body. Aroma of coffee, light lactose, bread, and some grainy malts. Taste is leather, light smoke, roast and some light lactose. Pretty similar to regular Guinness, but with a bit more leather or earthy character. Medium to lively carbonation, finishes very dry.
