Bottle to glass at Anjin restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazy, almost murky, golden yellow with a small off white head. The aroma is cereal, bread, hint of sulfur, distant yeast notes. The taste is grainy cereal malt, a bit of lemon citrus and dirty earth. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel, low carbonation and dirty finish.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is mildly that of a Hefe. Near med body. Flavor is lightly that of a hefe, light spice, light breadiness, perhaps a banana note. Clearly not a Wit beer, but very light in flavor. Ah well.

Bottle. Hazy yellow, white head. Wheat, bit of spice, fairly bland overall. Not a hefeweizen, but not sure what to classify as...

Bottle. Very pale watery yellow colour with small white head. Aroma is quite faint, not much there, but equally nothing objectionable. Slight graininess and bit of citrus. Taste is similar. There is a hint of flavour but it fades quite quickly. Slight sweetness, bit of citrus and a little bit creamy. Fades into a kind of lemonade taste. Nothing nasty about it, in fact nothing much about it at all. Medium carbonation makes it a little bit spritzy but otherwise quite thin.

Curry-Ya, NYC bottle: pours hazy brownish yellow with a white head. Aroma is light fruitiness and yeast... not quite banana and clove like a real one. Taste is somewhat spicy... a weird taste of the booze. Very light. Not super interesting.

12 ounce bottle from Uwajimaya. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. A light bready nose with some pepper. A bit of faint skunk, lemon, dough, some yeasty spiciness. OK.

Bottle. Was hoping for a kristal weizen with the translated name. Clear pour at first which turns hazy by the second half of the bottle. Medium gold hue, white head. Aromas are grainy, wheat, vanilla, very light banana esters, mild caramel. A touch of phenolic clove. Flavors are mildly sweet and floral, bready, wheat, grainy. Very light citrus notes. Isoamyl acetate. Lightly floral finish. Very light bodied, fuller carbonation. Nothing noticeably off, but nothing stands out.

Draught at the brewery. Low aroma is grainy and citrus. Light yellow color. Sour edge to the flavor is very strong, with more citrus than banana. Refreshing and crisp, nice-drinking if slightly boring.
