Toby has shared this rare China whale 2 times over the years and I have been present both times lucky me. Pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is grain some oak barrel notes and a little grass. Taste is more of the nice grain wood and spice. Thanks for the fun tick.

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge thanks! A clear reddy amber coloured pour with a no head. Aroma is toffee, woody, caramel, dried fruits. Flavour is composed of toffee malts, little diacetyl, golden syrup, . Palate has no condition, sticky sweet. Very fun to get to try.

Bottle shared by KyotoLefty at RBWG 16: Poured a caramel hazy with white head. Aroma was boozy malt. Taste was a little flat with loads of grain, light sugar. Not bad for being aged.

Courtesy of Toby, thanks man! Pours clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is smooth and sweet smelling with caramel malts, wheat bread and some prunes. The taste is similar with spicy oak that resembles spicy hops as well as caramel malt like sweetness and prunes. Smooth and easy drinkin’.

750 ml bottle. Oak-aged. Deep, dark, amber-orange with a thin, lacy head. Fruity, caramel / toffee nose, with chocolate and some dry, earthy hops. Light oak flavor, with some vanilla, lots of caramel and toffee. A bit of earthy hops, just enough to cut though the sweetness. Just stops short of cloying. The light oak is a nice touch, and the malts are quite tasty.
