Dark and intriguing. Malty, roasted, lightly milky aroma. Mouht is a bit chalky, but not bad. Roasted malts, light vanilla, chocolate, sweet, in the flavor. A decent Impy. (Draught at Craftheads, Tokyo)

Draught at Q-brick, Strong Ale Fest 2010. Another Japanese-made Foreign Stout calling itself an Imperial. A bit of a disapointment, since their regular stout is so good. Milky aroma with coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, and bit of wood and roasted malt. Sweetish. Shiny black with brown lace. Sweet, fruity flavor with chocolate, coffee, cream, and a finish of burnt wood. Big-time fruit that is not very stout-like and neither the richness nor the body of an imperial.
