Bottle. Clear golden colour, small white head. Aroma is not so exciting, bit of caramel sweetness, bit vegetal. Taste is ok, but again unexciting. Bit of sweetness, cream soda maybe, sherbert, but doesn't quite seem right. Hey, it's alright, but I don't ever want to drink it again.

Bottle from Kyoto Station, pours clear golden, some thin but well formed head with small white bubbles. Nose is grassy-grainy, crisp maltiness there with some wet cardboard. Tastes malty, grainy and light bitterness in the finish. Not bad as a session beer, not watery at least. Not really exciting either.

Bottle 330ml (Kyoto)
Golden color, small white head. Slightly fruity, malty, kind of plastic vibe in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Clean palate. Fruity maltyness, light notes of citrus, a bit sweetish. I would say that this is a German Kölsch, not those American "kölsches".

On tap at the brewpub in Kyoto, it poured a nice pale gold with a thin white head. The aroma is one of slightly sweet malt, the taste is a bit rough followed by some sweetness and a dry bitter finish. It wasn’t bad but it’s pretty average for a Kolsch. I did find it hit the spot after biking to the brewpub from my place on a sunny day.

Cloudy blond color. The aroma is smelly, with fruits, flowers and vegetables. The mouthfeel is weak, with light grassy flavor; medium-low bitterness, short final. Weird.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of Theis. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and mild barnyard. Fruity and dry brettish flavoured. Mild hoppy and grassy too - although subdued to the brett notes. Citrusy. Bitter and dry finish.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, rice, and some citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of tart notes of wheat as well as some malt and lemon, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

Draught at the Brewpub. A light to medium gold color with a medium white head. A touch cloudy. Aroma: medium malt, very light on hops, quite fruity, a bit sweet. Also strong banana aroma, and a bit sour, similar to a weizen. Yeasty, sweetish flavor, with light malt and hops, and medium fruitiness. Very light body, medium carbonation. Dry, fruity fnish, with sour and citrus. Not very hoppy. Very light, not really interesting. Dry and not at all offensive, but not much there.
