Dark brown color with molasses and bananas in the nose. The mouth is moderately sweet with molasses and brown sugar. Somewhat balanced.

Brown with a tan head. Banana, light chocolate malts, sweet, molasses in the aroma. Thick and chewy body. Sweet, malty, light molasses, light banana, a touch of spices, light nuts. It’s OK, but strikingly similar to their Chocolate Weizen.

Draught at Cafe Barley in Nishinomiya. Dark amber-orange color, with a foamy, chocolatey head. Aroma of chocolate, with a sour edge, some citrus and banana. Very fruity, slightly sour flavor, slightly roasty, with dark chocolate, café au lait, and cherry. Very different and interesting. Not perfect, but unique. Rather complex but unrefined. It got a bit cloying. Good first try.
