Very good. Had a glass from the tap at Rattle n Hum. Poured a rich, clear golden hue with a fine white head. Strong aroma of fruits and yeast. Flavor was sweet, with some nice, slight hops and notes of caramel and honey. Warming mouthfeel and a smooth finish.

Draught at Rogue Ales and Public House, Portland. Yeasty wheat aroma; a bit fruity. Very sweet and very alcoholic up front, then with a wildly bitter hop and alcohol finish. A bit too cloying, but then the hammer falls. Interesting interpretation of a tripel, though could be better assembled.

Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a large, foamy white head and a hazed yellow body. Good lacing. Aroma is alcohol first, with candi sugar, must, pear and pepper following. Taste is sweet with a bit of diacetyl, pear, and alcohol. Good tasting but very hot (alcohol forward). Light bubbles, alcohol on the palate and a dry mouthfeel. This vintage would be stellar with another 3 years of age on it.

Tap at Barcade - Rogue does a tripel - it’s pretty much what I expected - strong candi sugar aroma, some yeasty character, a tiny bit of tartness, honey, clove, and coriander - quite sweet flavor, too much so, in fact - it remains dominant for most of the experience, covering up a potentially complex array of spices - gets a little drier near the end, but after that it winds up tasting a bit like soap due to an odd floral and hop combination - I guess I’m glad I got to try it, but it wasn’t all that good.

Draft at Rogue Public House, Astoria. An unclear orangey beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, yeast, malt, and fruit, leading to a dry and slightly alcoholic finish.

Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. This beer pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a minimal white head that is gone quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and wheat, plus some tart fruit and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of wheat, sweet honey and sour apple. Yeast is present at times as well. The finish is mildly spiced with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall, but honestly not worth the extravagant packaging.

Bottle: Pours a dirty blonde with a large white head. Aroma is sweet and reminds me of a sugary corn cereal. Light bits of citrus. Flavor is fruity with citrus, spices, and a bit more dry sweetness. Interestingly different and enjoyable. Thanks Jordan.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Malty, yeasty, slight citrus and earth aroma. Sweet orange and malt flavor with yeast, a bit of dust, and earth. Possibly a bit of tartness as well. Medium body - carbonation a little low. Lingering orange, citrus, malt, and yeast. Different, but not bad.

Draft at the Astoria alehouse. Belgian spice aroma. Golden amber color with a white lacing head. Medium to full in body with creamy carbonation. Starts sweet with spice that is neither clove nor cardamom. Tastes complex. Persistent though. Sweet into the finish. Seems high alcohol (based on senses other than taste). Very pleasant, but seems likely to be deadly. Good sipper.
