A higher gravity seasonal version of the year-round Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale. It’s made with Westmalle Trappist yeast that creates those curious phenolic off-flavors that are freakin’ everyone out these days. Massively dosed with boatloads of wheat and pale malt and finishes with a big, hoppy ending.

Bottle, from Beers of the World. Deep gold, clear, with a low, bubbly head. Oily. Estery, phenolic aroma with orange, peach, honey, muscat grapes. Interesting and strange and only vaguely Belgian. Sweet flavor with honey and muscat, peach, big grassy hops, sweet orange, and a big bitter finish. Oily, silky palate. Weird and alcoholic. Spicy and interesting though vergng on unpleasant.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy slightly sour nice flavor. Moderate bitter nice sour flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ Voldby ølmesse. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, alcohol, yeast and malt.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart, pine, lemon and pineapple. The flavor was very bitter and tart with notes of musk, earth, sweet pine, pineapple, resin, sour caramel and fairly prominent alcohol. The finish was long, dryish and bitter with lingering sour caramel, pine and alcohol. Full body. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy piney aroma with yeasty hints. Spicy yeasty hoppy grapefruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty yeasty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Draft at Dexters. Filtered tan with a big,steady off white head. Sour, sweet malt aroma. Thick and rich, with an odd balance between the soapy hops and mild sourness. Sweet. Pretty unique. More like an IPA than a sour. Clovy, with almost a cinnamon bite. Interesting, but hardly a world class venture. Lots of soapy orange character.

22oz Bottle I have had this one on multiple occasions. Talk about a great price point and a very tasty beer. Why can’t any other brewery make good tasting cheap beer like this. Pours out a orange/amber topped with a nice off-white cream head. Aroma was sweet, lots of different fruit almost fruit cocktail like, light hop notes, funk, and some belg yeast. Taste was as the aroma a very tasty one. I hear they are going to make this next year in 12oz bottles sweet.
