Bottle. Sweet, light hoppiness, caramel and plenty of soft drink like characteristics too. Not so bad, but once again, omiyage/dark tick.

Bottle shared at "Tokyo Ratebeer Dark Tickers of The World Unite or AJB tasting volume 1" event. Thanks Neil! Clearish neon yellow with a small champagne like head that dissipates quickly. Big lemon, lime notes...almost like a sprite or 7-Up. Light body with a mineral water-like spritziness. Finish is clean and refreshing. Not really beer-like. Could have been made by Johana easily. --- Beer merged from original tick of Suginoya Pale Ale on 05 Mar 2016 at 20:09 - Score: 5

A fairly standard cloudy gold with a thick foamy white head that clings to the glass. A fairly malty aroma with a touch of hoppiness leads me to believe this is more of an English Pale Ale than an APA - well enough balanced though. The taste is earthy, a bit spicy, lots of biscuity malts with a dash of fruity citrus but the malts come off kind of stale. Medium bodied with a decent mouthfeel, this is a fairly middle of the road brew.

Draught at the Brewery’s restaurant in Fukuoka. Bright golden color. Sweet, buttery aroma, like a typical Japanese koelsch. Light hops, very creamy. Thin palate with light caramel malt. Slightly fruity, with a rather clean finish that is slightly bitter but with little hop flavor. Ok. Refreshing and light, more like a golden ale or koelsch than a PA. Their best.
