Can from Tokyu Food Show. Copper coloured with big beige head that fades quite quickly. Very clear. Aroma is fruity, maybe strawberry bit slightly creamy too. Also lots of sweet malt in there and a little bit of funkiness. And some mustiness too. Taste is quite pleasant, initially sweet malt, then a touch of fruitiness with just a hint of bitterness at the end. Quite thin and lifeless though. Quite like the funky element with the creaminess, but probably won't rush to have it again. In conclusion, ok. Rerate straight from the can in Toyama. Light roast, caramel sweetness, it's alright. Better than the kolsch. Very malty and does the job

Tap at the brewery. Fiery red color. Subdued minerally fruity nose. Very clean, some apple crumble and oranges prance in the mouth. Not amazing depth, but well made and decent enough.

Unazuki Alt 5% Can from 7-11 in Toyama for 400 yen, served in a German style glass maybe a wilibecher? Disclaimer: altbiers are one of least favorite styles. A clear Amber with a fizzy beige head that didn't last more than a second. The nose is a fruity sharp nutty caramel. The beer comes off a bit slick and syrupy sweet nutty caramel before finishing with a super-dry finish. Meh, fairly average and as expected not my thing at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Tokyu in Shibuya. Fruity aroma, light caramel, some hops. Rather dry in general. Typical medium copper color with a low off-white head. Somewhat thin malt flavor, with some caramel and pretty good hopping. A touch of sour as well. Not much going on really. Dry finish is pleasant enough. Rather thin body as well. Very thin, watery, and uninspired Altbier.
