Bottle from Daiei. Deep roasted malt nose with light cacao notes. Full on roasted malt and cacao nib bitterness. Average carbonation with long bitter, roasty finish. Decent enough.

420 yen from Mitsukoshi-Isetan in Umeda. 5% Black pour with a beige head served in a snifter. Strong chocolate fudge aroma, checking the label this is made with cacao extract. Med-light body with a somewhat watery mouthfeel. The flavor is a slightly harsh roastiness, bitter/burnt coffee followed by syrupy sweet chocolate fudge. Possibly that harshness is coming from the very effervescent carbonation.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Dark chocolate added to a dunkel or probably their schwarz. Good roasted malt bitterness matched with the bitterness of the chocolate, which was clearly present but not overdone. Not overly sweet, rather nice.
