So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads.

Dark brown colour, perhaps with some haziness though it's a hard to tell in a dark beer. At most one and a half finger of dark greyish/light brownish head, which soon recedes to a thin layer but still leaves nice lacing. Nice malty depth in a quite vivid aroma: toffee and caramel, plus light nuttiness and a hint of espresso coffee. Some dark or red fruit notes in the background. All among a nice warming feel. Taste notes more or less follow the aroma, though in not so nitid kind of way: the malty sweetness feels more 'generic' and is followed by a nice smoky/peated note. There's a nice warming feel as the smell suggested and lightly (pleasantly) perceptible alcohol. It's a very sweet beer but there's also a good amount of bitterness to bring balance, with a sweet edge in the mouth and a balanced finish that shows a hint of earthiness. Medium to dense in body with quite light carbonation, resulting in a nice half creamy, half smooth mouthfeel. A very nice one.

Malty aroma, reddish brown color. Taste is a complex balance of thick malt sweetness, caramel, burnt wood, and floral/earthy hop bitterness at the end. Lingering woody aftertaste. Excellent example of the style.

Flesje thuis gedronken. Donker roodbruin bier met matig schuim dat snel weg trekt. Aroma van chocolade en vanille. Smaak van gebrande mout en pruimen. Nasmaak rokerig en bitter.

Very nice malty and yeast driven been. It’s actually not so chewy or big, yet it has loads of complex estery flavours. Great balance. Sterk ams

Donkerbruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is licht bitterzoet met iets van karamel, wat geroosterd brood en toffee. Heel erg goed.
