At a tasting at KyotoLefty’s place. Bottle. It poured a really light failry clear gold with a funky, smokey & light spice aroma. The body was light whereas the taste was a bit rough, spicy & some smoke. I thought it was decent but didn’t have terribly a lot of ryeness to it, earthy.

On tap at Wachi. Brewed with Kyoto Rye according to the recipe from Yamaoka Sake Shop in Kyoto. A strange but enticing light, thin yellow color. Very hazy. Sour, spicy, rye aroma. Slightly sour flavor with lots of rye, very smooth and creamy, with bananas as well. Dry, grainy rye finish. This is a very interesting beer with lots of rye character. Not my favorite style, but different and well-done. Worth a try if you can find it!
