Kaori no Mugi, made with cascade hops. 300¥ small at In Tha Door brewing. A pretty gold pour with a thick head. Light green citrusy hops with perhaps a hint of diacetyl. Minty, earthy, green flavor on a medium body. Sweet diacetyl that comes off grape like. Not terrible but off.

On tap at the Micro Brewers Festa in Hiroshima. The brewer calls this a Pale Ale, I thought it was closer to a golden ale. Sparking, light gold. Huge, herbal cascade hops give it a citrus, grapefruit aroma. Some pale malt in the nose as well. Light body, with big hop flavor and some butter and muted golden malts. Crisp, fruity and herbal. Very nice and refreshing.
