Pours thickly (and smoking!) to a small, if dense tan head over near-black beer. Olives, chocolate, bit of wood.... waiting for vanilla... still waiting for vanilla... ? Well, it might be as Dame Blanche without the icecream? Definitely something mineral, chalk. Again lots of chocolate and dark, if sweet malts. SOme roast, and getting a bit of tannines too. Again precious or no vanilla... But warming up, finally, the vanilla makes its appearance. Very thick bodied (the lactose?), smooth despite reasonable carbonation. Some faint alcohol; very dry aftertaste. The name might put one on the wrong foot. But it is a quite likeable beer nonetheless. Many thanks for sharing, guys!
