500 ml bottle from a restaurant in Kurashiki. Pours a hazy dark brown with a thick head. Rich malt nose, caramel, cream, chocolate, raisins and berries. Nice caramel malt flavor, sweet, with raisins and a nicely bitter finish. Slightly rough finish maybe, but full, mellow body. Decent stuff.

Dream or Real Door Night 8% This dark Japanese ale pours a deep mahogany brown with an impressively thick tan head. The aroma is fruity berries with a chocolate fudge component, smells pretty decent. It is quite full bodied with a sharp finish . The taste is earthy berries and chocolate but also a somewhat harsh acidic almost metallic character. I wouldn’t say it is obviously off but it isn’t really completely right. That finish is giving me gas... burp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
