An ale brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberry juice. Fort has a Belgian-style base, then we follow a similar fermentation process to the one we use on beers like 120 Minute IPA and World Wide Stout.
Fort is an excellent candidate for cellaring. Grab a few bottles, enjoy one now and lay the others down for a few years. Want to know when the Fort you find was bottled? Check the 'Bottled On' date on the neck of each bottle.
Fort is also an excellent food beer. Our favorite pairings include anything chocolate or a nice piece of duck.
The Fort label art was designed by our rock-and-roll friend Tara McPherson. Tara also did the label art for our Chateau Jiahu and our 2012 Seasonal Prints and Uber-Tap Handle. Can you tell we kinda love her work?!
Admin Note: Alcohol fluctuates on this one (16% - 17% ABV)

Bottle@EBF2008. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is tropical fruit concentrate along with some mild wood and alcohol. Flavour is alike, with the alcohol making it really sweet.

75 cL bottle. Pours clear golden deep redish with a fully gone head. Aroma is dense dried and raisin fruity. Extremely sweet and sugarish aroma. Sweet raspberry and solid sweet flavoured overall. Dense alcohol presence and warming into a slight throat burning experience.

I like it! Very nice aroma of fresh raspberries, alcohol, and brady or sherry. A small creamy off white head covers a hazy, peachy, amber body. Decent lacing. Taste starts of sweet and fruity then alcohol and bitterness follow. Medium body with a syrupy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Alcohol is controllable for an after dinner sipper. Will try to get another bottle! From more recent bottles have not enjoyed it, would be more like a 3.2

750 ml bottle in GI Matilda tulip. Purchased 2005. Light brown with tinges of pink. Thin head. Sweet raspberry smell. taste is all raspberry of course, with additional notes of cherry and candi sugar. I’m thinking a Belgian base and a warm ale ferment. Likable, though a medicinal taste wanders in and out. Hides its alcohol well, and fruitiness is held in place by malts.
