Deep golden color. Smells like a sauna, tastes like a sauna with some lemon, low carbonation.

I had this at Bungalow awhile ago but was too lazy to add it to RB I guess (screw ABinBev). AJB Foeder Pils 5% I guess they’ve gotten their foeders producing. I’ve wanted to try this for awhile and I’ve gotta say it is a good looking golden brew with a dense pillowy white head and a herbal hops and hay like malt aroma. The taste gives you woodsy notes from the foeders that actually had me thinking whiskey (?) a bit. Once you get past that you have a light bodied dry beer with hay, wood & herbs. A low sweetness and a decently crisp finish. A nice intriguing brew and my guess is once the foeders have been in use longer that aspect will mellow out. Apparently the menu lists this as being a collaboration with Yokohama Bay Brewing... Ap 5 Ar 7 t 7-8 p 4 o 13

Bottled. Nose is peaches, honey, dust, wood, funk. Buttery and very oaky, with huge, overwhelming tannins from a relatively new foeder. Smooth and silky, with nice light carbonation as I like, but just too funky and tannic. I hope this works better when the foeders are a bit more worn in. This is unpleasant now.
