14.02.2014, 0,35l bottle shared with Palme & Kaaz @ train from Oslo to Halden:
Small creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, hop pellets, leafs, citrus peel, rubber, grass, grapefruit. Taste is harsh and slightly boozy, lots of hops, harsh grass, old leafs, bark, caramel malts, citrus peel, hay, cardboard. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

650ml bottle at Hoppy pub Thessaloniki. Orange color with nice white head that lasts. Hoppy, citrusy aroma with pine. Hoppy bitter punch in the mouth at the beginning, then it becomes fruity sweet and it ends even more bitter with a bitterness that lasts.

Bottle @Beer Hunters
Clear amber color, steady good creamy white head. Grassy, deep "hop oil", pine and resin aroma. Medium-bodied. Resiny, piney hoppyness. Nicely balanced flavor. Quality DIPA.

Small bottle (shared by suurjuust, thanks!). Pours hazy golden, the head disappears quickly. Aroma is hoppy pine, citrus, honey, somewhat floral. Taste: pine, some malt, grapefruit. It’s oily but also surprisingly watery. Finish is long pine bitter, but not very intense. It also has noticeable, but not unpleasant alcohol burn. Overall: really nice DIPA. The ABV is hidden very well; it would be very easy to get really drunk without noticing.

Hazy amber pour. Mild fruity hops aroma. Surprisingly resinous piney taste at first - very overpowering and somewhat medicinal/vegetal in a way that covers up the other flavors. Bit slick oily palate. Sort of a disappointment.

Poured a crystal clear gold with a pillowy white head. Aroma of pine, tropical fruit, citru, mouth watering. Taste is similar, a little medicinal, but still nice. Rough finish though, bad aftertaste.

355 ml bottle from AEON Liquors in Jiyugaoka. Pours clear amber with a small, even tiny, head. Aroma feels overwhelmed with herbal hops, some citrus and sweet fruity undertones. Taste is deceivingly malty and bready at first - but then the hops kick in, filling the mouth with intense hop bitterness. Aftertaste is quite long, dry and focused on the herbal side of hops. Hops are well alive and quite grassy-earthy in this beer, mouthfeel is oily. Body is a bit too light to balance all of that - so although interesting and ABV is well hidden, it’s not really my favourite take on IPA.

Bottled at Babajan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, small head. Aroma of white pepper, honry and grapefruit. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Piney, honeyish and resiny with very bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy murky amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of pine, toffee, fresh hops, grass, mint, bread, light fruity yeast esters and mango. Taste is dry and medium to high bitter with notes of pine, grapefruit, mango, toffee and bread. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty nice, dry.

Bottle. Pours orange with an ever so slight haze and a dense foamy head. The first scent to hit my nose is caramel, followed by pine and grapefruit that becomes more orange-like as the beer warms. Flavor is a bit abrasive on the first sip. Punchy spruce flavors follow a sweet grainy and orange flavor and finish is decidedly bitter. Mouthfeel is a little silky and ABV is warming and obvious. I don’t pick up the caramel flavors I did in the nose, so I’m more than happy to sit and sip this one.
