French Farmhouse Triple Ale. A distinctive, woody, fruity tripel ale, with strong character: its clear and very particular taste comes from work done with yeasts.

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Intense malty alcoholic aroma. Starts intense malty, dry, more and more warming alcoholic. Some light fruity notes as well. Finish well balanced, warming malty-alcoholic. Not bad!

Bottle 33 cl. Dark golden color, clear, a little yellowish foam. Aroma mixes shades of light malt, fruit esters and perfumes, an apple, lollipops, a pie and a pear, a few flowers, sweet. Taste: original, quite dense, malt with fruits, apples and pears, apple seeds, esters, cookies, light hop bitterness, alcohol, very warming.

Bottle. Malty, fruity nose, cooked pears, sugar, caramel. Gold with amber tints and a low, thick head. Sweet and graint, somewhat sugary, oranges, apples, marzipan. Slick and silky, a bit syrupy. Vanilla. Finish is too cloying. Too sweet overall.

75cl bottle share courtesy of Tderoeck @ Smoker bbq party. BB 24/4/2019, lot# L8114. Orange, col fin blanc.

Bottle bought ages ago from that French distro that no longer shops to the UK. BB 08/16. Ithought it would be a hassle to open like my previous 3 Monts bottle but after I knocked off the metal staple the cork shout off of its own accord. Funky basement aroma. Amber. Bubbly white head. Light bitter with a caramel sweetness. Warming booze. Medium bodied. Oily. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish. Went down easily enough but not overly exciting.

F: huge, egg-white, good retention. C: deep gold to amber, clear. A: malty, caramel, light fruity, dried fruits, bit orange peels. T: malty, nutty, toffee, fruity, dried fruits, raisins, taste is better than aroma, strong commercial feeling but not bad, partially enjoyed, medium body, low to medium carbonation, 9,5% ABV, 33cl bottle from Carrefour hypermarket in Hazebrouck, France.

33cl bottle from Tosano, 9.5 ABV. Amber color with some sediment, big sizzling yellowish head, reducing. Funky acetic smell. Winey-fruity with winegar, grapes, raisins, lemon, green apple cider, grass. Some bread in the aftertaste together with ginger and old wood. Taste sweetish and very sour. Strong carbonation, medium body, varnish in the finish, at least not super alcoholic. Weird sour ale, not my preference.
