Nice. Spicy, saison pepper, ketchup. Light and easy going. Hints of berry tartness. Great stuff. Second time. Lovely and citrusy this time. Peach too! Saison yeastiness hiding in there. Light white peppery spice. Bit of bubblegum and light bready maltiness. Great!

Bottle from Akio, care of George. Thanks gentlemen! Pours a hazy straw gold with some orange highlights with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Lots of dried, funky citrus, clove and spelt grain notes. Funky barnyard notes on the palate, lowish carbonation. Barnyard and more dried natsumikan peel notes. Some grassiness on the finish. Quite dry with a lingering cobweb and barnyard character. --- Beer merged from original tick of Back to Back on 01 May 2018 at 21:56 - Score: 7. Original review text: Thanks Akio & George for the muling. Lots of funky dried Mikan zest aromas. Farm and horse blanket notes on the palate, dry and tart.

Bottle from the Tokyo boys. Huge natsu mikan nose, juicy orange, with a good amount of barnyard going on behind it. Spicy yeast, hay, bready malt. Very dry flavor, orange juice, but dry, lightly tart, hay, light spice, light zest and pith. Crisp and dry--maybe a little too dry--a bit more bready malt would help. Light and refreshing though, with big farmhouse saison character.

hazy golden color, big peppercorn and citrusy nose with Natsu Mikan shining. Dry and funky. The mouth is modestly tart, spicy, dry, the spelt kinda shines oddly. The fruit is well integrated. Much more Yorocco than Shiga Kogen. Nice dry spicy finish with modest citrus tartness.
