Can from Yamaoka 660¥. The can daily’s juicy and the magazine Craft Beer & Brewing says it is a NEIPA, it looks hazy enough so ok. Crooked Stave IPA 6% Very pale honey gold with a thick white fluffy head of foam and a somewhat sharp hop bouquet that isn’t terribly juicy. Medium bodied the taste is a bit juicier with some pineapple notes. It’s good enough but the juicy characteristic I got on first opening the can vanished incredibly fast.

These guys seem to be known for their wilds and sours, but this is a pretty great IPA.

The mild Aromas are resin Hops and dry grain. I don't pick up much of the Citrus that others are talking about. The Fairly dry flavors have bitterness dominating with carbonation accenting resin hops and a hint of sweet in the Finish. Nothing too remarkable.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Classic Wines. Appearance is cloudy, milky yellow-orange with light sparkle at the edge of the glass, 2-finger width foamy off-white head with decent retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, pine and candied fruit. Taste is orange citrus, light bitterness, biscuit malt. Palate is medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, aroma more complex and interesting than the flavor. Enjoyable but not noteworthy.

Pours a hazy, light lemon-yellow, with rather smallish head. Aromas of tropical and citrus fruits, some pine/spruce hops, a touch of grassiness. Flavor is tropical and citrus, with the emphasis on the citrus, with some grass, some piney hops. Very, very smooth. Only a very slight bitterness to the finish. Very well-done.

Taste from a can. Pours a hazy, pale, yellow color, with a big, pillowy, white head. The aroma is smooth caramel malts, light floral notes, biscuit dough, and pine. Sweet, with a sharp, mild bitterness. Light body, with a fizzy, lightly acidic feel. This is a simple and solid IPA.
