Tap at Tap Stand. Lovely. Nice roast, strong resinous hoppy bite. Little cola spritziness, finish has dark chocolate. Very good stuff.

Tap @ Watering Hole. Dark brown, almost black with sone light brown bubbles on top. Nose has roast, cocoa and dark chocolate. Fruity. Taste has a good hop presence, soft and fruity. Really fruity actually. Balance is good, hoppy and fruity BIPA, well made. Getting some bready notes as well, sweetish and not so sour. Spicy. Alcohol well hidden, tasty and well made, compares well with Brewfist's Green Petrol, one of my favourites of this style at around the same abv.

It's a really good dark strong beer but I don't see anything at all that has to do with an IPA. Aroma has mostly roasting us with some malt and a bit of cocoa. Flavor is like nose. There's some sweet up front and bitter in the Finish great body and some coffee in the end really good drinking beer but again where the IPA comes in I have no idea. There's no sign of hops here at all other than a bit of bitterness but that could be almost from anyting.

Tap at Ape. Lovely tan head on shiny black beer. Nice citrus nose, spicy, chocolate, cream. Flavor is a bit of pine, chocolate, nice citrus, low roast, as I like it. Well done. Kind of miss this style as it is not too popular any more.

Sample at the tap room. Dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Roast malt, hops and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty malt up front with a hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
