Frank & Vrij translates as a figure of speech as ‘free-and-easy’ that’s what ‘Vermont’ by association brought to our minds. Not as hazy as you might expect…but hey...ish. The smell is intensive grassy and fruity with makes you want to take another sniff before taking the next step (promised). Flavourful to the max. One for the books, this Vermouth IPA turned out great! Full of fruit, smooth mouth feel, soft bitter finish. Simply a delicious enjoyment. Like the translation of the name: free-and-easy. p.s fyi: the small ‘2’ on the label is because we made a small batch of Frank & Vrij a long, long time ago. Different beer, but same name.

7 3 6 3 15 33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 24 March, so exactly 4 months old. Cloudy amber color. Big off white head with good retention. Aroma’s: herbal hops, soft/tropical fruit, a bit yeasty. Retronasal it’s moderate sweet, yeasty, sweet fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet with very light bitterness. Medium bodied. Finish is ever so slightly bitterish. I didn’t mean to keep this for 4 month but there you go.

Botella 33 cl en el kraken 25..06..2017. Embotellado 24..03..2017 hasta 24..03..2019. (r16). Color ámbar amarillento tostado muy turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos y cereales con grandes dosis de afrutados tropicales. Ligeras especias. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y cierta densidad. Buena combinación de frutas y maltas. Ligero amargo afrutado al final. Bastante buena para repetir sin duda.
