Brewed as a traditional Oktoberfest Lager, this beer sets itself apart from other pumpkin ales by being light and refreshing. Pumpkin is used in the mash along with traditional pumpkin pie spicing in the brew kettle. A large portion of the grain used is Munich malt which gives a nice pie crust flavour to the beer.

Bottle - Pumpkin is upfront with spices and pale malts. Clear effervescent gold with a thin white head. Lots of pumpkin and a simple clean finish. Very light and refreshing, but after a few sips the pumpkin on it’s own is just a bit much. Nice idea, good execution, but not to my taste.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma of faint pumpkin spices, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Flavour brings out pumpkin pure, a little nutmeg, and a touch of cinnamon. Sort of like a watered down Pumking. Good stuff, but nothing special.

341ml bottle. Pours a dark gold/brown with light head. Aroma of malts and spice. Flavors of nutmeg and all-spice (and maybe cinnamon) overpowering the malt and leaving just an acidic bitter finish. Not a fan of this one. Try and find the Lost Soul instead.
