Strong citrus hops balanced with malt breadiness. Citra Hopped Live is bright,
refreshing & loud. We cranked this pale ale up to 11 by adding a generous amount of Citra hops. With that in mind, we wanted the label to reflect the feeling of live music. Live pairs great with toetapping or headbanging to your favorite band on stage.

12 ounce bottle. Medium gold color. Frothy beige head. Fragrant citrus hop nose. Flavor is bright citrus, with notes of tangerine, mango, lemon and orange marmalade. Light biscuit malt backbone. A bit of cut grass and mint in finish. Refreshing and quaffable.

Can. Grass, grapefruit peel, and biscuit malt aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet orange, light biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Okay body. Nice hops but not much malt.

2 month old can > IPA glass A: Poured hard to 1" of tight beige foam atop a clear pale orange gold body. Fair retention and elaborate lacing. S: Mild citrus and pith with some sweet balsa or sandlewood. T: Bitter with pith and a little zest but some dry bread to balance. The citra is really nondescript, no doubt faded with age. Tart orange aftertaste. M: Average carb level and bitter, slightly resinous finish. O: Nothing to complain about but also nothing I would seek out. Pretty old though, to be fair.

Can from mix pack from Harris Teeter @ Barracks Road. Pours clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is strong citrus: grapefruit and lemon, motsly peel. Flavor is somewhat juicy citrus - and actually more juicy as it goes along. Orange, for sure. Minor bitterness... more juicy and pulpy flavor. Very good.

Bottle from Wegmans Ithaca. Consumed while sitting on a deck by a lake, which makes me very happy. Clear golden-orange. Nice, frothy head. Clean citrus aroma, grassy notes. Light sweet, moderately bitter. Very clean, crisp, and easy drinking. Nice beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a bright golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was drysish with lemon and perfume. The flavor was dry and perfumey with thank and citric acid notes. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
