350ml can from Osake, Tokyo. Pours dark golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of earthy notes, wheaty yeastiness, herbal hops, pine and caramel. Taste is smooth, slightly fruity and yeasty with some wheaty notes, pine and citrus. Finish is crisp, hoppy and slightly fruity with some floral notes, resin and wheatiness. Okay.

Can. Soft, fruity nose, oranges, wheat, biscuits. Pale gold with a low head. Orange hop flavor, wheaty, nice and crisp. Simple but enjoyable.

Yo-Ho’s Karuizawa Kogen brand has last few years always had session IPA as its summer seasonal. This year its Session Wheat IPA. Pours. clear golden, white head that doe snot stay too long. Slightly sweet ripe fruits hop aroma, biscuity malt character also obvious. Tastes smooth, nice sweetish body, reminding me Yona Yona - only this one is softer and less sweet, with more hops. Quenches thirst well and nice herbal bitterness lingers in the finish. Quite juicy actually, nice clean flavours. Manages not to feel too thin, problem I usually have with session IPA’s. Good stuff.
