Tap at Osaka Beer Fes 2017. Seems to be a re-vamped recipe from their new brewer. Glowing cloudy gold. Nice citrus and grassy, somewhat pissy hops nose. Crisp hop bitterness, grapefruit. Hops are great, fementation could be a touch cleaner but a good step in the right direction for this brewery and its new brewer. 7/4/7/3/14

Bottle direct from the brewery. Served in a lager glass. It pours a clear deep gold with a fizzy white head. The aroma isn’t bad, a soft sweet maltiness with underlying crackery notes. The taste is a touch too yeasty & sweet at first but the malts come through nicely with crackers, grass & hay then you get a semi-dry sharp bitter finish. Not great but not bad either. If they get rid of that initial yeastiness that has no business being in a lager it’ll be pretty good.
