Earthy, not so fruity, but it's there. Bit confused given the style. More interesting and drinkable than their other beers but doesn't seem like a NE IPA

Draught @ Popeye, Tokyo (as New England IPA with Mango). Pours cloudy hazy yellowish with a tiny head. Aroma of juicy tropical fruits, pineapple, mango and citrus. Taste is juicy fruity, tropical and slightly citrusy with some mango and pineapple. Finish is tropical fruity and juicy with some pineapple, mango and citrus. Good.

Tap. Pours bright yellow, foam that is leaving white lacings. Hazy, oh so hazy. Aroma is quite usual NE IPA nose, somewhat raw but in a soft way, lactic nose. Hops are not really shining there but some juiciness is recognisable. Taste is quite smooth, juicy and well, kind of like every other NE IPA recreation has been. Covering many relevant clicks but overall, I don’t know if I am just getting tired of the style or do they all really feel so similar - something is lacking. Not so clean juiciness as I have had from the best NE ones, not a bad example but well, could have been maybe a bit lighter and less malty?

Be easy Brewing Nottsudo IPA 7.5% 35 IBU Tap at AB where it was listed as a New England IPA a style I’m a fan of when it doesn’t look like mud. Thankfully this was a thick gold with a dense white head and a creamsicle fruity hop bouquet. Mouthwatering, but that could’ve been. As it was my first beer after a long day at work. Full bodied and fairly smooth in texture with just a bit of prickling assaulting your tongue. The taste is sweet candied grapefruit rind and pine sap. A real nice beer, probably one of the best Be Easy has put out. To style but could’ve been ramped up more. I’m glad I chose to pop in today.

Tap at Komachi. Hazy, deep gold with a low, thick, head. Looks like a regular IPA, just unfiltered. Not gooey. Lovely nose of citrus, grains, a bit of pine, dankness, and tropical fruit. Fruity, juicy flavor, sweet, with grapefruit, mango, and pine. Slick and smooth, with a nice low bitterness and a peppery hop finish. Good first try at the style. Very nice. Hops are not as overwhelming as the Mass versions, but well done.
