Subtly hoppy with weizen elements in the background. Wheaty. Like it. Easy going. Lemon.

dirty golden white color. very clean banana dry hoppy nose. Tons of bananas dry smooth mouth with modestly restrained bitterness. Super quaffable . Excellent

Tap at AB. I tried to get a Shiga I’ton IPA but ’twas sold out so I got stuck with this Minoh Hoppy Weizen. After my horrible experience at their 20th Anniversary Event. I didn’t really want to order a Minoh beer even if I’ve never had it.

I got lucky as this one was a cloudy gold like a NE IPA with a fragrant citrusy (lemon drops?) hop bouquet and light cloves. Medium to light bodied, almost watery. The taste was sulfur eggy Weizen with a sweet caramel evocative of a weizenbock (kind of cloying) but little evidence of hops. So from the promising aroma I crashed back down to the reality of Minoh - inconsistent and uneven beers. Not a bad beer but just borderline good, about what you can expect from most Minoh beers unless you’re unlucky and get one that is off. Did not grow on me, rather it got cloying... Tap at Craft Beer Live Osaka 2017. PRetty cloudy gold. Nice NZ hop nose, citrus, mango, funky fruit, cloves. Peppery finish, well ripe tropical fruit.
